Junior Builders (Ages 12-14)

Real tools. Real projects. Real confidence.

This camp is designed for young teens ready to step into the woodshop and start building with purpose.

Over four days, students will complete a series of hands-on projects:

• A wooden foot stool

• A custom board game

• A squirrel feeder table

• A birdhouse

  
  

Each project introduces new skills — from measuring and cutting to assembly and finishing — while reinforcing shop safety and tool confidence.

While creativity is encouraged, this is first and foremost a woodworking camp. Students will spend the majority of their time in the shop, learning how to work with materials and tools in a structured but supportive environment.

By the end of the week, they’ll walk away with projects they’re proud of — and the confidence to keep building.

Cancellation & Dress Code Policy

Thank you for choosing Inspired Lumber Workshop! Due to the nature of our small business, we are unable to offer refunds. However, we understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel, we would be happy to help you reschedule for another class. To ensure the best experience for all, please notify us of any cancellations at least 48 hours before the scheduled class. This allows us to offer your spot to another participant.

Please dress appropriately for working within the wood shop, which means no loose clothing, hoodies with strings, sandals (no opened toed shoes), loose jewelry, etc.

You will be producing lots of sawdust and be working with wood glue and other adhesives within the Workshop, so please dress accordingly. Aprons will be provided. Inspired Lumber Workshop will not be held responsible for damage to any clothing. In short - don't wear anything into the wood shop that you aren't willing to risk being damaged.
