From the Instructor - Nicole Pawlowski-Herr

I like to say I became an accidental tool junkie because it wasn’t something I thought I was born to do.  I was, however, exposed to power tools while growing up. Fast forward 30 years or so, to late 2019 when we started building our dream home. When the pandemic began in March 2020, it threw a major wrench into our plans and I had to make a choice...try to find yet another contractor that may or may not show up, or dig deep and try to do it myself.  So I jumped in! I watched videos, I consulted with friends (thanks Brian @ Inspired Lumber), and I just started, one project at a time. Then in late 2021, we passed our inspections on our 5,000 sq. ft. timberframe home and moved in. I can honestly look at our home now and say - I made that! I have called my Dad often now to thank him for teaching me to use power tools rather than to be afraid of them. Through my rather unique woodworking journey, I also found that I really like to empower other women that they can do it, too. There is a special joy that comes with building and fixing things with your own hands and that's what this class will help you do.
